Origin: Wayland is the blacksmith god of the Anglo-Saxon settlers in Britain. According to the Edda (where it is called “Volundarkvida”), in its forge and in the underworld produced magical weapons and sacred ornaments. Among other things, the seven swords endowed with magical powers under the names of Albion, Morax, Orias, Flaures, Beleth, Elidor and Solas.
Meanings as a talisman or amulet: It represents supernatural abilities as well as artistic talent.
